Our Turn to Celebrate!

We have a daughter !!!

Chris and I are the legal parents of 20 month-old E.!! We haven't decided on a middle name yet, so she will have to be E. for now.

So much for not being anxious. I didn't sleep a wink last night. - Still haven't. It was strange to get the news at work and only be able to talk to Chris on the phone. But we are so excited! Excited that she is now part of our family, and so relieved to have finally made it through the court process.

We have rejoiced and celebrated with so many friends over the years, that it is amazing to finally be announcing our own news!

We are working on an embassy date and travel plans with our agency, and I will post those when we know.

For now, we are just excited and letting it all sink in...

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, prayed for us, and been as excited as we are. We feel so blessed and supported. This girl is already so loved, it takes my breath away.

A few more hours...

Only a few more hours, and we will know the outcome of E.'s 2nd court hearing. I am anxious, but also feel some peace that either way, things will unfold as they should. We have lots of great pictures of her, and the latest ones show her as a smiling, confident toddler. I am more than thankful for where she is at, and maybe she needed this extra time to settle in before making such a massive transition into our family.

But I still wish she was here...
