Happy Day !

I'm back! We are just coming out of our newborn/adoption fog. We are doing well. Actually, E.R. is doing amazingly well! We can't really imagine life without her. She has been home 10 weeks now, and has adjusted to our family so much better than we could have hoped for.

She turned 2 in July, and the event lasted 2 days. We spent a day on the Oregon coast with friends - which is now her favorite place to be. Then the next day we celebrated at home with her grandparents. She called it her "Happy Day" - refusing to call it a birthday. As usual she is in charge, and as usual her cuteness wins us over. She has this amazing exuberance in every second of her life, so naturally now she sees every extra-special moment (which honestly could be ANYTHING) as a "Happy Day". She has brought so much joy into our house that now we are constantly noticing a "Happy Day". :) Seriously, what did we do without her?
